SocioMee AI, available at sociomeeai.com, is an AI content studio operated by Mee Group, Mumbai, India. Throughout this document, "SocioMee", "SocioMee AI", "we", "us", and "our" all refer interchangeably to the same platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
Before generating content, the topic or keyword you enter is automatically screened by an automated safety check to detect and block prohibited categories such as self-harm, sexual content, hate speech, or violence, across English and regional Indian languages. In ambiguous cases, this check may briefly submit your topic to our AI service for classification only; the topic text is not retained after the classification result is returned.
We do NOT sell your personal data to anyone.
Consent is obtained at the point of registration and when you connect third-party platforms via OAuth. You may withdraw consent at any time by disconnecting a platform in your account settings or deleting your account entirely. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. At registration, consent is sought separately for: (1) account creation and core service delivery, (2) product update communications (optional, opt-out anytime), and (3) usage analytics. When connecting third-party platforms via OAuth, consent is obtained specifically for that platform's data access at the time of connection.

SocioMee's website (sociomeeai.com), including our blog and answers pages, may display advertisements served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
If SocioMee is designated as a Significant Data Fiduciary by the Government of India under the DPDP Act 2023, we will comply with the additional obligations applicable to such designation, including data protection impact assessments, independent data audits, and appointment of a Data Protection Officer.
SocioMee also offers optional connections to third party AI assistants, currently Claude, developed by Anthropic, and ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, through a feature known as the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Each connection is established only if you choose to activate it from within that assistant's own settings, and none are enabled automatically for any user. SocioMee logs the activation event as part of your account record for consent audit purposes.
Once connected, the assistant is permitted to access the following categories of information on your behalf: your current subscription plan and remaining credit balance, the history of content you have previously generated through SocioMee including associated topics and titles, and the ability to create a temporary share link for content that you specify during a conversation. The assistant is not given access to your password, payment details, or any information beyond what is described here.
You retain full control over each connection and may disconnect it at any time through that assistant's own settings. Once disconnected, the assistant will no longer be able to access any information from your SocioMee account.
SocioMee AI Coach is a conversational assistant, separate from the MCP connectors above, built into the SocioMee app, available to all plans including Free with a lower monthly message limit. It is scoped to guide you on content strategy, platform planning, and troubleshooting content performance, and to help you phrase effective inputs for SocioMee's own tools such as the Keyword/Topic field. It does not write finished captions, hooks, hashtags, or other publishable content on your behalf, and is designed to decline requests outside its intended scope, including general knowledge questions and coding tasks. Messages you send to AI Coach are processed using our AI engine (Vertex AI / Google Gemini) to generate a response and are not used to train any third-party AI model. On the Advanced mode (Pro+ only), AI Coach may reference a summary of your connected platform performance data to give more personalized answers; this only happens if you enable that option for a given conversation. Standard mode does not access your connected account data. Each question and answer is saved to your account so you can review it later under History > AI Coach, and is deleted if you delete your account.
SocioMee Share lets you transfer files, text, or audio between your own devices using a one-time code or QR scan. Shared content is stored temporarily and is automatically and permanently deleted within 30 minutes, regardless of whether it has been accessed.
SocioMee Reminders lets you set reminders related to your content schedule. This data is stored as part of your account and is deleted when you delete your reminders or your account.
SocioMee credit costs per feature: AI Coach Standard mode 1 credit per message (5/month on Free, 20/month on Pro, 50/month on Pro+), AI Coach Advanced mode 3 credits per message (Pro+ only). AI content generation (all platforms including YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Telegram, Reddit, Quora, Discord, TikTok, and WhatsApp) 10 credits each. Deep Research add-on costs 5 extra credits (15 total). AI Avatar add-on (Pro+ only, currently Agent Alex persona only) costs 15 extra credits (25 total, or 30 total if combined with Deep Research). A/B Testing (Thumbnail, Title, Description, Caption comparisons) costs 4 credits per comparison, available on every plan including Free. AI Dubbing (Requires Pro or Pro+) costs 20 credits per video, Hindi, English, Marathi, Tamil, or Bengali, up to 10 minutes. Hashtag generator 1 credit, Hook writer 1 credit, Bio writer 1 credit, Subtitles and translation 1 credit. Notes auto-tag 1 credit, Notes AI summarize 1 credit (Pro+ only). Notes voice to note free. PDF AI summarize 1 credit, PDF OCR 10 credits (Pro+ only). YouTube keyword analysis 2 credits, YouTube trending topics 2 credits, YouTube video SEO optimizer 5 credits, YouTube video score 3 credits, YouTube auto-upload and scheduled upload 5 credits each. Threads load trending topics 2 credits, Threads viral predictor 5 credits. Instagram viral predictor 5 credits. Pinterest viral predictor 5 credits. Telegram send content pack 1 credit. Discord send content 1 credit. Convert file conversions 1 credit each. QR Code generator, screen recorder, calendar, dashboard, and publishing or scheduling on any platform are always free. Credits reset monthly on your billing date and do not roll over.
SocioMee Notes lets you create and manage notes, to-do lists, and sticky notes inside your dashboard. All notes are stored on our servers and are tied to your account. Voice to note transcription is processed using your device's built-in speech recognition API and the audio is never sent to our servers. Auto-tag and AI Summarize features (Pro+ only) send the text content of your note to our AI service for processing and do not retain the content after the response is returned.
SocioMee Share lets you transfer files between devices using a 6-digit code or QR scan. Files you upload via Share are stored temporarily on our servers for a maximum of 30 minutes and are permanently and automatically deleted after that period or immediately after the recipient downloads them, whichever comes first. We do not retain, log, or analyse the content of files transferred via Share.
SocioMee Screen Recorder uses your browser's built-in screen capture API to record your screen directly on your device. On the Free and Pro plans, recordings are processed and downloaded locally to your device and are never transmitted to our servers. On the Pro+ plan, recordings are optionally saved to your SocioMee Cloud storage, which is stored in your browser's local storage as described in the Cloud section above.
SocioMee Calendar is a content planning tool that displays Indian festival dates fetched from our servers and lets you add personal notes tied to calendar dates. Festival data is fetched from our API and cached in your browser. Personal notes you add to calendar dates are stored only in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your calendar notes.
The Creator Dashboard aggregates analytics data from your connected social media accounts — including YouTube, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Telegram, and Discord — and displays it in one place. This data, which may include follower counts, post counts, views, reach, and engagement metrics, is fetched in real time directly from each platform's API using the OAuth access tokens you have granted. We do not store this analytics data on our servers; it is fetched on demand and displayed only to you. Disconnecting a platform immediately revokes our access to that platform's data.
SocioMee News aggregates publicly available news articles and trending topics from third-party news sources via a news API. We do not store or reproduce full article content. Article headlines, summaries, images, and source URLs are fetched from the news API and displayed in-app. We do not collect or store any data about which articles you read or click on. Clicking a news article takes you directly to the original publisher's website, where that publisher's own privacy policy applies.
SocioMee PDF lets you view, analyse, compress, split, organize, and password-protect PDF files. PDFs you upload to the viewer are loaded entirely within your browser using the open-source PDF.js library and are never transmitted to or stored on SocioMee's servers. When you use the AI Summarize or Review Deal features, the text content extracted from your PDF (not the file itself) is sent to our AI service to generate the analysis, and is not retained after the response is returned. When you use the Compress or Password Protect features, the PDF file is temporarily transmitted to our server solely to perform the requested operation, and is permanently deleted immediately after the processed file is returned to your browser. We do not retain, log, or share any PDF content beyond what is strictly necessary to perform these features.
SocioMee Cloud lets you store files including scripts, images, videos, PDFs, and audio files for use across your content creation workflow. Files uploaded to SocioMee Cloud are stored entirely within your own browser's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded to, transmitted to, or stored on SocioMee's servers. As a result, your Cloud files are accessible only on the device and browser where you uploaded them. When you delete a file from SocioMee Cloud, it is immediately and permanently removed from your browser's local storage with no copy retained anywhere. Pro plan storage limit is 2GB and Pro+ plan storage limit is 8GB, both enforced client-side.
SocioMee Convert lets you convert files between formats including images, PDFs, documents, audio, and video. Files you upload for conversion are processed entirely on our servers and deleted immediately upon conversion completion. We do not retain, log, or analyse the content of files you convert. Converted output files are delivered directly to your browser and are not stored on our servers.
SocioMee Schedulers let you schedule posts to Pinterest, Threads, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube at a future date and time. The content you schedule, including post text, media URLs, captions, and platform credentials, is stored securely on our servers until the scheduled time. Once published, the stored scheduling data is deleted. You may cancel or modify any scheduled post before it publishes. Platform access tokens are encrypted at rest and used solely to publish content you have authorized.
SocioMee image upload for publishing: when you attach an image to a post via Threads, Facebook, or LinkedIn publish or schedule features, the image is uploaded to and temporarily stored on SocioMee servers at a publicly accessible URL so that the respective platform API can retrieve it during publishing. These images are stored in /uploads/ on our servers. We recommend deleting images you no longer need by contacting [email protected]. We will implement automatic deletion of uploaded media within 7 days in a future update.

If you grant browser permission, SocioMee sends push notifications for account events: a welcome message shortly after your first login, alerts when your credits run out or reset, confirmation when a payment or subscription purchase succeeds, and confirmation when you delete your account. You can withdraw push permission at any time through your browser settings or the Notifications toggle in the app; push notifications you have not permitted are never sent.
SocioMee also sends transactional emails tied to your account: a welcome email, payment and subscription confirmations with GST invoices where applicable, low credits and credits restored notices, one-time passwords and email verification links, and confirmation when your account and its data have been permanently deleted. These are account notifications, not marketing, and are sent regardless of marketing consent preferences. We do not currently send promotional or marketing emails; if we introduce them in future, they will be covered by the marketing consent setting described in Section 4.
SocioMee uses a credit system to manage access to AI-powered features. Credits are tied to your account and reset every 30 days from your billing date. Only features that call our AI engine (Vertex AI / Google Gemini) consume credits. Publishing, scheduling, and non-AI tools are free.
We use HTTPS encryption, secure servers, and strict access controls. In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in risk to your rights and freedoms, we will: (1) notify affected users without undue delay and within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach; (2) notify the Data Protection Board of India as required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023; (3) provide details of the nature of the breach, the data affected, and the steps we have taken to address it. We maintain real-time error monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to potential breaches promptly. Note: Under CERT-In directions, certain cybersecurity incidents must be reported to CERT-In within 6 hours of detection, which is a separate and shorter timeline from the DPDP Act 72-hour breach notification obligation to affected users and the Data Protection Board.
Your data may be processed outside India, primarily on Google Cloud and Firebase infrastructure located in the United States and Singapore, and on Anthropic or OpenAI servers in the United States, only if you activate the optional MCP connector for Claude or ChatGPT respectively. Phone OTP verification is processed by Google Firebase Authentication, which may route data through Google infrastructure outside India. These transfers occur in connection with services necessary to operate SocioMee and are subject to applicable contractual safeguards with our service providers.
Significant changes to this policy will be notified by email or via a platform notice before they take effect.
