What is a media kit and how to make one as an Indian creator

A media kit is a one or two page document you send to brands when they ask "what are your stats?" It is the creator equivalent of a resume, and not having one when a brand comes knocking is one of the fastest ways to lose a deal.

Your media kit should include your photo and a short bio, your niche and audience description, your key numbers which are subscribers or followers, average views, and engagement rate, your audience demographics including age range, location breakdown, and gender split, past brand collaborations if you have them, and your contact details.

You do not need a designer for this. A clean Canva template works. What matters is that the numbers are honest and the document looks like something a professional sent it, not a screenshot of your analytics stitched into a Google Doc.

Once you have a media kit, actually sending it when brands reach out instead of scrambling to collect screenshots is a genuine competitive edge. Most small Indian creators do not have one.

SocioMee helps you create the content that makes your media kit numbers worth showing.
